Safe Environment was recently called to assist Tri-Tech Surveys on a high-stakes construction site where unexpected waste threatened to delay important setting-out work. Tri-Tech’s task was to mark the precise locations and boundaries essential for the construction’s foundation, but with substantial debris and general waste scattered across the site, they couldn’t proceed. Recognizing the need for a rapid, compliant waste management solution, Tri-Tech reached out to us at Safe Environment to help ensure the site was clear, safe, and ready for setting out and future construction.
The Job: Coordinated Site Preparation and Waste Removal
Our role was to thoroughly assess and remove various waste types, including non-hazardous construction debris, discarded equipment, and fly-tipped items. This task required a detailed initial survey to identify any contaminants and organize the removal process in line with Environment Agency regulations. Within hours, our team was on-site to manage the waste clearance efficiently, allowing Tri-Tech’s surveyors to get back to work on marking out the building footprint.
Once Safe Environment completed the waste removal, Tri-Tech’s team could take over. This coordination was crucial, as it meant that the construction phase could remain on schedule, ultimately allowing the client’s building plans to progress without costly delays. The collaboration highlighted the value of an integrated approach to construction.
Importance of collaboration in construction
We understand that successful construction projects rely on the combined expertise of specialised teams. Tri-Tech brought in-depth knowledge of site engineering and setting-out, and Safe Environment provided comprehensive waste management solutions to support those efforts. Together, we laid the groundwork for a project that could proceed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental standards.
