Our Comprehensive and Compliant Removal Process

Our removal process is carefully structured to follow all current HSE guidance, including HSG248 (Asbestos: The Analysts’ Guide) and HSG210 (Asbestos Essentials). Each stage is meticulously planned and managed to ensure safety, efficiency and legal compliance.

We begin with a thorough asbestos survey. Depending on your situation, we carry out either a Management Survey or a more intrusive Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) Survey, in line with HSG264: Asbestos: The Survey Guide. Our surveys are conducted by UKAS-accredited inspectors, who assess the location, condition and risk posed by any asbestos-containing Artex coatings within the property.

Following the survey, we develop a bespoke Plan of Work, tailored specifically to your building and situation. This document sets out the safe working methods, control measures, protective equipment, and waste management strategy. Our team of trained asbestos removal operatives—qualified through schemes such as UKATA or BOHS P402/P405—then carry out the removal process with the utmost care and precision.

Throughout the removal phase, we use controlled wet techniques, negative pressure units, and Class H HEPA-filtered vacuum systems to prevent fibre release. All asbestos waste is securely double-bagged, labelled, and removed from site by a registered hazardous waste carrier, then disposed of at a licensed facility in full accordance with The Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.

Where required, we also arrange reassurance air testing and clearance air monitoring, in line with HSG248, to ensure that your property meets the strict clearance indicator of <0.01 fibres per cm³. To conclude, we carry out a final inspection and issue all relevant certification, including a Certificate of Reoccupation or safe removal confirmation.
